When is the Daredevil: Born Again Release Date?

Daredevil: Born Again was initially due to release in 2024, though problems in production mean a 2025 release date is now more likely.

Even if production for Daredevil: Born Again was fast-tracked, we can safely assume that it won’t be coming out in the first half of 2024. That’s a pretty stacked period for the MCU, with Echo landing in January, X-Men 97 in the first few months, and Deadpool 3 in July as well. As such, Daredevil: Born Again will probably release in the second half of 2024, towards fall and winter, or more likely at some stage in the first half of 2025.

The show was initially meant to come out in an 18-episode season in early 2024, as announced at San Diego Comic-Con in 2022. Production was well underway and shooting had started when the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes put a stop to it. Then in September 2023, production stopped again as the series went under a sweeping creative overhaul, as per The Hollywood Reporter.

Marvel execs were reportedly unhappy with the show’s tone and direction, letting the original creative team go before bringing in Marvel veterans Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead to review existing progress and see what needed to be changed. There has been no update on Daredevil: Born Again’s production since then, meaning the amount of footage filmed is likely far less than half of that required for those 18 episodes.

Therefore, 2025 is a much more likely projected release date for Daredevil: Born Again. Its early production and filming has been fraught with obstacles and creative battles, and until a clearer narrative path has been decided, that wait will likely only get longer.
