He asks why she isn’t at the church parsonage when she looks up to see chop-chop boxes floating in the water. She removes the lid to find bags of tobacco when Piper (Kyle Bracknell) approaches. Piper asks if she’s still living at the parsonage. Daisy says of course. Piper tells her that the court will consider her living accommodations. When Piper asks what she thinks about the reverend (Paulo), she says he’s a great guy.

To access a cellular signal, Paulo climbs to the top of the church tower. Mackenzie “Mack” Boyd (P.J. Byrne) admits to taking a new alias, Bryan Mills, Liam Neeson’s character in “Taken.” Mack informs him of a Wedding he’s to officiate on Saturday while Zumbaing. He assures him that his ex-wife, Charmaine will regret divorcing him in a few weeks.

Lewis (Marcus Johnson) warns Paulo that Lorenzo (Steve Mouzakis) sent Farah (Robert Rabiah) out to look for him. Paulo informs him of Mack staying at Surfers Paradise before saying he’s in desperate need of a new identity. He asks if he’ll get up with Paige. Lewis says to be prepared to pay more because Lorenzo will kill her if he finds out she helped him. Paulo tells him that Mack will get away if he doesn’t leave today.

Peter (Wayne Blair) says there are some important people waiting to meet him. Paulo suggests he cover for him while he meets Satan before asking where he can use the Internet. Peter says at the beach bar.

Piper finds one of Agnes’ chop-chop boxes.

Daisy shows Cameron the chop-chop she found on the beach. He warns her that they can’t sell dope. She says it’s tobacco like sold in stores. He asks if chop-chop is illegal. She assures him that consumers only want to buy it cheap before saying it’s worth at least 50k. He tells her that criminals grew it. She suggests they split the proceeds so she can go to Louvre. He asks why she wants to leave. She reminds him that he’s “weird” and she’s a high school dropout. He heads to the caravan park with a box of chop-chop.

The Internet Café is on wheels. After inputting “Surfers Paradise” in the search browser, Paulo waits…

Clump Police Station – Holding a large baby bottle with alcohol, Chad (Rhys Mitchell) informs Piper that the chop-chop trade is worth millions. Harry (Calen Tassone) stops by with coffee and a cappuccino.

Paulo tries to leave when he realizes Piper installed a boot on the tire. When he asks Daisy what is in the chop-chop box, she says a wedding cake. He says a wedding cake in a Styrofoam box with a fish logo before heading to the caravan park.

When Paulo asks Cameron to give him change for a 10, he receives 10 50-cent coins instead of 20. Cameron says they charge a commission. Paulo tells him that would be 100% commission before heading to the payphone. After several attempts, he reaches Mack’s hotel. The receptionist (Jess Potts) says Mack gives a generous tip.

Piper and Sergeant Rahane (Sachin Joab) discuss chop-chop when Paulo approaches. She suggests they raid the Jovic’s business tomorrow while the locals attend the big weddings. He tells her that he’ll obtain a search warrant. Paulo says she installed a boot on his hearse. She reminds him of his accident that left the police station without electricity. He assures her he’s only thinking of his flock.

Peter warns him that his rounds have been compromised. Paulo demands Peter cancel the wedding. Piper tells him that Peter’s a licensed driver with a vehicle. All the parishioners (Hazel Phillips, Joan Parker, Derry Beavis) serve Lamington.

Luke and James ask Archil (Boris Brkic) where the chop-chop came from. He says a shop in Tbilisi. When Luke roughs him up, he admits to buying it from Cameron.

Paulo warns Peter that he’ll vomit if he eats another slice of Lamington. Peter informs him of Delainy being blind. Paulo asks who owns the blue car in the garage. Peter says the Torana belonged to Delanie’s late husband. Paulo suggests he wait in the car while he visits Delanie (Val Lehman). Peter tells him that he’s got an hour before the wedding rehearsal.

While going through Delanie’s belongings. Paulo asks if she’d like him to read from the Bible. She suggests they talk about him when he spots the Torana keys. As he tries to start the engine, she informs him that the battery has been dead for two years. He takes off running.

After threatening to break Cameron’s limbs, James and Luke discuss the meaning of “hypothetical.” Cameron tosses their keys into the grass before fleeing on his bike.

Amy (Briallen Clarke) informs Paulo that she offered to do mouth-to-mouth when he crashed. He tells her that he appreciates it. She says he pissed off Clump’s only cop fairly quickly. He asks if they’re friends. She says their relationship has been “crap” after Piper returned from the city.

Believing she’s talking to Cameron on her two-way radio, Daisy asks how much money he made. James says for their sake, he hopes not. She flees with her bag.

Paulo arrives at Charlotte (Bridie McKim) and Chad’s wedding rehearsal an hour late. Charlotte admits to having no idea what they’re supposed to do. Chad says their last wedding video features a croc gnawing on the former reverend. Paulo suggests Chad and his best man stand to his right. Chad tells him that the groom is supposed to stand to his left. Paulo says in a traditional wedding. Peter informs him that Gwenda’s going to sing. When Margie (Roz Hammond) warns that the wedding will be a “cock-up,” Charlotte bursts out in tears before they file out of the church.

All alone, Paulo says come out before Cameron and Daisy slowly pop up from behind a table. He asks them if they’re hiding is related to the chop-chop. Cameron claims Daisy found it washed up on the beach before saying they’re going to be killed. Paulo suggests they return it and go to Paris. She asks if she can borrow a spare hidden passport. As they prepare to leave, he says they need to return it secretively.

Paulo installs the battery from Mack’s hearse in Delanie’s car. She laughs as he speeds away. He stops to call Lewis who informs him that Paige wants 100K for a full identity. Paulo informs him that he’s leaving for the Gold Coast where Mack’s staying. Lewis suggests he stay put because Lorenzo’s hunting him. Paulo says Clump is stuck in 1982. Lewis demands he not call him again until he gets the 100K, not Lorenzo’s money.

Lorenzo tells Lewis that Farah claims he’s still in Paulo’s corner. Lewis suggests he not wait to bring Farah in.

Paulo discovers a postcard from Paris, France with the message, “Paris in winter. Trust me, I won’t tell anyone Rev.”

Peter says he’ll not wear a suit and tie to the wedding. Lester (Russell Dykstra) informs a man and woman that the food for the wedding reception is ruined. Peter reminds them that the reverend hit the electric pole. The man and woman tell him that they’ll kill him.

Cameron suggests they repay Agnes’ men for the missing chop-chop. Daisy says they’ll hide in the church parsonage after returning what’s left when Paulo approaches. He orders them to go before he reconsiders.

Paulo tells Luke and James that they can choose option A or B to resolve the issue. James says he likes option C before throwing a punch. Daisy warns Cameron that Paulo’s going to get killed. They open the door to find James and Luke laying on the floor. Paulo reminds them that he has a wedding to officiate.

Agnes approaches with her gun raised. She asks if he wants to be shot in the balls or brains. He suggests they should stay clear of him and the kids. She tells him that she’s sick of his “flapping gums” before cocking her gun. He offers her a business proposition.

Irreverent Review

A 30-minute episode would have worked better. Scenes that add nothing to the story, and they’re a lot of them, should’ve been removed. It’s becoming more apparent how the 10-episode season was born.

The episode deserves a 6. Get more Irreverent recaps here. Support Reel Mockery by clicking the link.
