The Film Badhaai Ho sarring Ayushmann Khurrana was among the critically acclaimed film in 2018 and it did score huge at the box office with Neena Gupta, Sanya Malhotra, Surekha Sikhri and Gajraj Rao in the pivotal roles. The film also bagged several awards for various categories along winning the hearts of the audience. The makers of the film are back in the news as they are planning to make its sequel. They have also come out with the title called Badhaao Do.

However, this time, the makers have come out with a new star cast with Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar as the lead actors. It will be their first collaboration on the silver screen. While Rajkummar Rao is playing the role of a police officer and the lady Bhumi is playing a PT Teacher in the film. The makers feel that the story of the film is different that made them get a new star cast for the film. It is a social comedy somewhere made with the same milieu as Badhaai Ho.

The film will have Harshavardhan Kulkarni as its director who is popular for his earlier ventures like Hunterrr, while Akshay Ghildial is the writer of the film. Bhumi while talking about the script said that this is one of her best script heard so far and it did not take a second for her to give her nod for the film. She said that she would play a role with an independent and powerful character and thus get the chance to expand her horizon. On the other side, Rajkummar Rao is also having praise for his role in the movie that surrounds home and work. This is very much different from the previous roles. Talking about the movie, it is all set to hit the floor in June.
