In the continued effort to establish the DCEU, Warner Bros. have announced and forged ahead with many films and had relative ease in doing so, encountering most of their issues when the Film is actually released. One title, however, THE FLASH, has faced issues in the pre-production stage and news has now come that Joby Harold is to rewrite the script.
This comes off two directors, Seth Grahame-Smith and Rick Famuyiwa, leaving the project after creative differences. Ezra Miller is still attached to play Barry Allen, he can be seen in JUSTICE LEAGUE later this year, as are Billy Crudup and Kiersey Clemons. This latest set-back for the film may see the set release date of July 27th, 2018 be changed also, potentially pushing it to the back of the queue.
The next film in the DCEU is WONDER WOMAN, set for June 2nd. Harold has KING ARTHUR: THE LEGEND OF THE SWORD out on May 12th and has also penned ROBIN HOOD, which is set for a 2018 release.
