Wild Eye Releasing has acquired upcoming documentary "Scary Stories", based on infamous book series "Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark". There are plans for a theatrical release next year - 2019. The documentary is directed by Cody Meirick.
"Scary Stories" includes more than 40 interviews, Scary Stories examines the seemingly endless influence of Schwartz and Gammell’s Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark book trilogy. From R.L. Stine to Alvin's son Peter to librarians and scholars who fought to keep the book from being banned from young readers.
