The official game account’s tweet is the more succinct of the two summaries of things to come. One involves the recruitment of a character named Lam in Daphan. While not every person will encounter this bug, it is possible in the current builds on the Switch to lock yourself out of recruiting her. If so, you are also locked out of getting the best ending and all possible allies.
The Cooking Battle is another issue in Eiyuden Chronicle on the Switch. After recruiting Kurtz, you can take part in the minigame. As the minigame isn’t working, it also can interfere with the recruitment of another ally.
505’s announcement specifically notes that the 1.0.4 Eiyuden Chronicle Switch patch will address issues with Lam and a War Mode story bug.
The upcoming Version 1.0.4 patch for the Switch is nearing completion and will address the following issues:

A progression bug in the later stage of the main story that blocks entry into war mode...— 505 Games Support (@505Support) April 24, 2024
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is available on the Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
