Hololive Vtuber Amane Kanata announced that she will be taking a break to properly deal with her asthma treatment. The liver shared the information through her social media account, where she mentioned experiencing hoarseness and inflammation of her vocal cords. After consulting with her doctor, Kanata decided to focus on her treatment until her symptoms subside.

Kanata explained that the hoarseness is caused by side-effects of her asthma medication. Additionally, the VTuber said that she has been experiencing a dry cough. The dry cough damaged her throat, which caused further inflammation of the edge of her vocal cords. This break will help Amane Kanata recover as soon as possible, as well as avoid polyps or any other complications from forming.

Kanata also informed her fans that she can feel her voice slowly recovering already, and that the inflammation has been reduced lately. Thanks to this, she has been able to work on some projects and jobs that were scheduled before her break, all under consultation with her doctors.

Amane Kanata debuted as part of the fourth generation of Hololive talent on December 29, 2019. Kanata previously announced she would take a break on February 14, 2022 due to the VTuber testing positive for COVID-19. Her return stream was held on April 16, 2022.
