Fanny packs are out, chest bags are in

Now we don’t want to start this post out on the bad foot. We love fanny packs – always have, always will. Fanny packs are versatile, functional, and can be used for most occasions. Nonetheless, just like many products designed in the 80’s, there comes a time that they are due for a facelift.

Now that we have released tension between us and the fanny-pack-or-die community, we can show you why Chest bags are better than fanny packs.

1. Chest bags provide a snugger and more comfortable fit.

A chest utility bag wraps around your torso rather than your waist. Most of them have shoulder and chest strap adjustments that are easy to maneuver. Contrary to what it may look or seem like, Chest Bags are designed for all body types. On the other hand, fanny packs will flop up and down if you try to jog or move quickly with them. While some companies may have made the fanny pack bounce less, the chest pack is undoubtedly the better option for a running phone bag. Chest bags have more points of contact, so you won’t get those abrasion marks on your skin like you do with a fanny pack.

2. Chest bags give you the option to carry water

Fanny packs are placed at your waist. Therefore, you can’t just put your head down and sip on something. With a chest rig bag, you can provide yourself with hydration as well. This chest pack is the official chest bag for running. It comes with a 17mL soft flask so you can fill it up with water (or wine) when you go on outdoor adventures. This solves the problem for people that want a running water bag, running camelbak, or small hiking backpack, but don’t want to have a big bulky backpack that causes them to overheat. This chest bag design is new, and while you may be intimidated by it you can’t knock it until you try it. We expect many other companies to follow suit with a design like this.

3. Chest bags are futuristic looking, where fanny packs are retro

Don’t get me wrong, I love an 80’s theme party occasionally. Walking into that kind of party you can bet that I will rock a fanny pack along with neon leg warmers and some Rick Flare shades. Other than that, I like to look sharp. Putting a fanny pack on your chest is innovative and unique. People will ask you what it is and where you got it – just like all cool unique new products. Do you like to look like you are keeping up with the times? Do you like using the greatest new technology? Then you need to at least try a running chest bag for your next outdoor occasion.

4. Chest bags have more pockets

Fanny packs usually have just one big pocket. I often find myself shoveling through cash, cards, keys, gum, chapstick, etc… Unfortunately, it is hard to really have a well put together fanny pack, especially when you are running around and partying. With a chest utility bag you have a multitude of pockets. Chest packs are even rivaling backpacks with secret pockets these days. This chest bag rivals the ASRV chest bag and has 3 different storage pockets along with a headphone jack.

Again, we are not here to put fanny packs to shame. We are here to provide you with the education that chest utility bags provide the same functionality of a fanny pack with added benefits. Chest packs are a relatively new trend, and with new trends some people become weary of trying them out. If we are able to provide you with the information and confidence to purchase one, then we have done our job. If you still want to stick with your mom’s fanny pack from the 80’s, that is cool too.
