Andrew Koenig was better known as “Boner” on the 1980s’ tv show Growing Pains. He committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree in a Canadian park. His father – Walter Koenig – was also an actor who played Chekov on the Star Trek tv show.  I loved watching him on Growing Pains and was very surprised to find out that he was a camera man.  Child stars don’t have it easy when they turn into adults and being a celebrity certainly doesn’t mean you’re happy all of the time.
