Hulu and Amazon 2021 Golden Globe and SAG Award nominee billboards...

With the Golden Globe Awards kicking off a protracted awards season tomorrow, here are some of the movies and TV shows celebrating their nominations and campaigning for other accolades like the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

First up are a selection of Nominee Billboards for the streaming service Hulu, including two ad examples for Lee Daniels new film, The United States vs. Billie Holiday.

The biopic stars Andra Day in the titular role as the iconic jazz and swing singer and is based on Johann Hari's 2015 book Chasing the Scream: The First and Last Days of the War on Drugs.
The movie follows the singer as she is targeted by the Federal Department of Narcotics with an undercover sting operation led by black Federal Agent Jimmy Fletcher (Trevante Rhodes), with whom she had a tumultuous affair.

The actress is nominated for two Golden Globes, including for Best Original Song for "Tigress & Tweed" (alongside Raphael Saadiq) and these nominee billboards were spotted along Cahuenga Boulevard and La Cienega Boulevard on February 19, 2021.
Nest up are a trio of billboards for Hulu's acclaimed time loop romantic comedy, Palm Springs, starring Andy Samberg, Cristin Milioti and J. K. Simmons.
The movie follows a couple of guests at a wedding in the desert resort who find they are unable to escape the venue, themselves or each other, as they are forced to relive events over and over again.
The film is up for two Golden Globes, for Best Comedy and Best Actor for Andy Samberg and these nominee billboards for Palm Springs were captured at Hollywood's Sunset & Vine on February 19, 2021.
A toast is also in order for Hulu's 18th century dark period comedy, The Great, starring Elle Fanning and Nicholas Hoult, in the series about the rise of Catherine the Great, The Empress of Russia.
The show and both leads are all up for Golden Globes, plus the ensemble cast and Nicholas Hoult, for his portrayal of Emperor Peter III, are also nominated for SAG Awards.

Another Hulu show in the running for two Golden Globes is the television adaptation of Sally Rooney's 2018 novel, Normal People.

The Irish drama follows the complex friendship and relationship of two teenagers across the years, played by Daisy Edgar-Jones and Paul Mescal.
Both the actress and the limited series itself are nominated for Globes and this nominee billboard was spotted along La Brea Avenue on February 18, 2021.
Another streamer celebrating its nominations this month is Amazon Prime Video, including shining an outdoor spotlight on the movie One Night in Miami.

Regina King is nominated for a Golden Globe for feature directorial debut for this adaptation of Kemp Powers stage play of the same name, which sees four black legends, Mohammad Ali, Malcom X, Jim Brown and Sam Cooke, spend a fictional night together at the Hampton House motel in Miami.
The Amazon film has three Golden Globe nominations, including two for Leslie Odom Jr. for Supporting Actor and Best Original Song for "Speak Now" (with Sam Ashworth), plus two SAG Award nominations for the actor and ensemble cast.

This duo of nominee billboards for the movie were captured along San Vicente Boulevard and Ventura Boulevard from February 18 to 19, 2021.
Another Amazon Original Movie getting recognition is Sound of Metal with Riz Ahmed nominated for a Golden Globe and a SAG Award for his role as a heavy-metal drummer with addiction problems who struggles with his sudden loss of hearing.
These nominee billboards for the film directed by Darius Marder were spied along Venice Boulevard on February 19, 2021.
Sacha Baron Cohen's Borat character was back for a high-profile sequel last year to help save democracy and has been rewarded with three Golden Globe nominations, including Best Picture, Best Actor and Best Actress for Maria Bakalova as his on-screen daughter (who also scored a SAG Award nomination).

Amazon was also supporting its documentary Time this awards season with these nominee billboards spotted along L.A.'s Venice Boulevard on February 19, 2021,

The film by Garrett Bradley follows Fox Rich's fight for the release of her husband, Rob, serving a 60-year prison sentence.
