Munch is out in European cinemas

Out from January 27th in cinemas and two months later on the streamer, the film sees him depicted across four stages in his life by a quartet of Norwegian actors Alfred Ekker Strande, Mattis Herman Nyquist, Ola G. Furuseth and Anne Krigsvoll. The film opens with the story of Munch’s first love, before showing the controversy around one of his early exhibitions. Munch’s admission to a psychiatric clinic will also be covered, where he is forced to make the biggest decision of his life, before the film relates the artist’s battle to save his works from the Nazis during World War II as death draws near.
