He’s arrived! Country singer Carrie Underwood announced via Instagram that her baby boy made his entrance in the early hours on Monday, January 21. The 35-year-old country star also revealed that she and husband Mike Fisher named their new addition Jacob Bryan Fisher.

The American Idol alum shared a photo gallery from Jacob’s first hours in the world. New papa former NHL star, 38, shared his excitement of his newborn son on Wednesday. The doting dad shared a precious photo of himself holding his baby boy.
Fisher wrote alongside the post, “Jacob Bryan Fisher! You are a gift from the Lord! “The last few years has has [sic] had its challenges and it makes this moment even more sweet! We didn’t know if Izzy would ever have another sibling but we learned through it all that God is in control and his timing is perfect! He is good all the time even in difficult times that are hard to understand. #grateful #miraclebaby.”

And a tough couple of years it has been for Underwood and Fisher. The couple has faced some challenges testing their relationship and leaving them hopeless at times that they wouldn’t be able to give their son Isaiah a sibling. The American Idol Season 4 winner had a serious accident at home just nine months ago that landed her in the hospital with a broken wrist and needed 40 to 50 stitches on her face.
If that wasn’t enough shortly after Underwood announced she was expecting for the second time she revealed that she and Fisher had miscarried three times from 2017 to 2018.
During an interview with CBS Sunday Morning, the country songstress was candid about her fertility struggles saying, “My son, Isaiah, is the sweetest thing. And he’s the best thing in the world. And I’m like, ‘If we can never have any other kids, that’s okay, because he’s amazing.’
