He’s arrived! 90 Day Fiance stars Paola and Russ Mayfield became parents for the first time. The reality show couple welcomed a baby boy named Axel Mayfield on January 1st.
Axel made his entrance just a bit after the clock struck midnight, entering the world at 12:22 a.m., measuring 22 inches and weighing in at 7pounds, 5 ounces.
The new mother recalled what is probably the best NYE she could have dreamt of, “What an amazing way to start a new year, while I was hearing the fireworks and people telling me, ‘Happy New Year,’ I was just focused on meeting my baby, it wasn’t easy but it was totally worth it. My little miracle is so beautiful and calm. I feel so blessed and I can’t believe I am a mom now! I’m ready to start this new adventure and to be the best mom for baby Axel.”

Proud new father Russ also made a statement about his new family of three while he gushed about his beautiful wife’s strength during giving birth. “I was at Pao’s side the entire time and am so proud of how amazing she did pushing our son out into the world. Momma and baby are doing great and I have so much pride when I see us all together. Axel is such a calm and sweet little boy and am happy to say I’m one proud father.”

The couple announced to Us Magazine exclusively that they were expecting in July. The TLC pair were over the moon about their impending arrival. “This is the most amazing feeling ever! We can’t believe we are going to be parents — we are already so in love with our baby.”
The news of their baby joy was a blessing for the couple after the heartbreak that the two endured when Paolo miscarried prior to this pregnancy. The tragedy put a strain on the reality couple’s marriage both coping with the loss in different ways.
