The latest Trend has ladies requesting their sonograms painted on their nails. Pregnant ladies are lining up for the special paint job as an added touch for their gender reveal parties. On Instagram, a Swedish mama-to-be of twins shared a snapshot showed her nails that were painted with two sonograms of her babies on the way.
Some ladies are even using the latest Nail Trend as a memorial to babies they have miscarried. An Instagram user named Sara who miscarried in 2017 wanted to remember her baby and used the latest trend as a way to do so. Writing a heartfelt tribute to her child she wrote alongside her post, “After three years and numerous fertility treatments, my hubby and I finally conceived in April. On May 30, my heart was broken when I found out my baby was no longer living and growing, and he was taken from me the next day.”

“I lost all inspiration as I struggled with the grief. I learned how to love him and his brief life and move forward with renewed hope,” Sara added. “I love you jelly bean, and seeing you on my nails makes me smile.”
Nadine Abramcyk co-founder of Tenoverten non-toxic nail salons based in New York, Los Angeles and Austin spoke to PEOPLE about the newest nail trend and most importantly is it safe for pregnant ladies?
“It’s totally safe to do it as long as you’re in the right environment,” says Abramcyk, who is currently pregnant with her third child. “It matters less what products you’re using and more about the safety of the environment at the salon that you’re choosing.”
Abramcyk encourages pregnant women to be their own advocate and survey the nail salon before sitting down in the chair. Clean tools and proper ventilation are two very important things women carrying a child should investigate.
“It’s definitely a better option to find a nail salon that is free of a lot of chemicals that they’re using in services so that these chemicals are not airborne and you’re not breathing them in.
