Grammy Award-winning singer John Legend shared a sweet snapshot of wife, model Chrissy Teigen, and their 11-month-old daughter Luna.
“Petting zoo party,” the All of Me hitmaker, 38, Instagrammed the image.
The Lip Sync Battle star, 31, also shared some Instagram videos from their petting zoo outing.
Last week, Teigen revealed her battle with postpartum depression.
“I’m so proud of her,” Legend recently told E! News of his wife coming forward with her truth.
He added: “She showed me the drafts when she was writing it and I knew it would mean a lot to a lot of women for them to see that. By acknowledging the pain that she’s going through, in doing that she also acknowledges the pain that a lot of women go through after they have a child. A lot of people don’t want to talk about it. A lot of people feel alone when they’re going through it and for her to let people know that they’re not alone, I think was really powerful.”
In her essay, the new mom encouraged other moms to shatter the shame of PPD and PPA.
“Postpartum does not discriminate. I couldn’t control it,” Teigen shared. “And that’s part of the reason it took me so long to speak up: I felt selfish, icky, and weird saying aloud that I’m struggling. Sometimes I still do. I’m speaking up now because I want people to know it can happen to anybody, and I don’t want people who have it to feel embarrassed or to feel alone. I also don’t want to pretend like I know everything about postpartum depression, because it can be different for everybody. But one thing I do know is that — for me — just merely being open about it helps.”
