Based on the last Episode I had a feeling something was going to go down. I felt that the Master and Ginji were acting off. It felt like they knew some bad news ahead of time. It's like they wanted to butter up Aoi to cushion the blow. I don't think that party was thrown at the last minute. I think it was a planned farewell party for Ginji. The master is a smart man there is no way he and Ginji were shocked. 

Aoi tried to say something to Ginji in episode 13 and he didn't respond. She was commenting on how happy she was. She was having all sorts of positive feelings at the party. Ginji looked the exact opposite. I think him being injured at the beginning of episode 13 played a part in what happens at the end of 14. There is so much mystery surrounding the past. Not just Aoi's but Ginji's, Tenjin-ya, Orio-ya, and Ougon-douji. 

We finally get to see the final boss of this anime. Every anime has one per story arc. It is the main hurdle that the main character must overcome. For Aoi, and everyone else its Ougon-douji. She finally revealed her true colors to Aoi. There are a lot of things she does that make no sense. First off why did she even bless Moonflower? Why make a personal appearance at Tenjin-ya? What does she have against the master and Tenjin-ya? 

It's like I get why everyone is scared of her then again I don't get it. I get that she is their boss. But I think it's deeper than that. I think it also has to do with the power she has. Obviously, she holds great spiritual power. Now we know she was the one behind Aoi getting spirited away and locked in the basement a few episodes ago. It becomes apparent that she is threatened and jealous of Aoi. 

My question is why? Is it because she is human? Does it have to do with her grandpa? Or is it because she can't stand to see Aoi get so close to the master? I think it's all of those reasons. Plus Aoi has great spiritual power herself that she isn't aware of. If anyone can challenge this little girl it's Aoi. Ranmaru is just Ougon-douji's lap dog. I can't stand him! There was no reason for him to get so rough with Aoi. 

I don't think Aoi will return to Tenjin-ya anytime soon. I think what will happen is she will be a cook at Orio-ya for awhile. Her cooking will save her and win allies at Orio-ya. Of course, this will irritate Ougon-douji. So Ginji working at Orio-ya again works out for Aoi's good. Aoi is going to be the one to unravel what happened in the past. If the master truly loves Aoi he is going to have to fight to get her back.
