On this day in 2008, the character Ahsoka Tano was introduced at the annual Toy Fair to promote the upcoming Star Wars: The Clone Wars movie.

As a lifelong fan of Star Wars, I had no idea Ahsoka Tano Day was a thing until watching the latest edition of Geek Week hosted by Jacob's Toys and SuperSorrell. They're an awesome duo and well worth subscribing to.



Over the years, I've celebrated Star Wars Day and wanted to take a moment to acknowledge Ahsoka! The Togruta was Anakin Skywalker's powerful Padawan during the Clone Wars. She left the Jedi Order before Skywalker was seduced by the dark side and became Darth Vader.

The fan-favourite character from Star Wars: The Clone Wars is voiced by Ashley Eckstein and played by Rosario Dawson in The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett and Ahsoka live-action spin-off series on Disney+.
