Gad has stated that he loves the traditional aspects of Judaism and celebrates some traditions of his wife's religion, Catholicism, but considers himself spiritual but not religious. Its obvious that the actor is not religious even after being raised a Jewish.

Gad voted for Hilary Clinton over Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential elections. He mentioned that he prefers Hilary Clinton as not only will she be a good president but also wants his daughters to be around the first female president of the United States. With everything that he has said he seems to be a Democrat. 

Gad is married to Ida Darvish for nine years now. They got married on the 10th of May 2008. They have two daughters, Isabella Gad and Ava Gad. The actor has not had any other public relationships. 

Gad loves listening to music in his free time. He also loves spending time with his family and friends. He reads books and also enjoys watching Game of Thrones. He is currently watching Walking Dead.
