Om Raut, the producer of Haunted 3D has announced his next venture – a historical periodical. The Film is named Taanaji. According to the posters, Ajay Devgn will be portraying the role. While nothing else is known about the film as yet, it could be the story of Taanaji Malasure, the childhood friend of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and possibly one of the greatest warriors India has ever seen. He is most famous for the Battle of Sinhgad, which was also his last battle. This is not the first time that the life and times of Taanaji are becoming fodder for film. Earlier, a film titled ‘Gadh Aala pan Shihv Gela’ (the fort is won but the lion is gone) was made on these incidents.
