Dee Rees Making A Horror Film With Black Lesbians

Dee Rees’ Mudbound has won critical acclaim. The woman is now working on another concept that is sure to raise brows but also entertain. Her next Film is a horror film that’s about two Black lesbians who have moved into a new place in Rural America. She is making this film with the production house behind ‘Get Out’, Blumhouse. During an interview, she revealed a part of the plot. She said that the film would have her and her partner move into a house and find weird things happening.  Dee Rees’ step is great for inclusivity of genders, orientations and ethnicities in Hollywood horror.   Hollywood horror films are notorious for the ‘token Black’, the African American destined to die. This film is trying to break that block – we’ll are pretty interested in how this film turns out.
