Emma Lauret was crowned Miss Earth Réunion 2017 after beating nine other candidates for the crown and title.

Emma will now prepare as she will compete for the Miss Earth 2017 crown to be held in the Philippines. Completing her elemental court are Aurelie Robert (Miss Air), Manycia Bertchie (Miss Water) and Julie Marguerite (Miss Fire).

Reunion Island, a French Department in the Indian Ocean, has yet to win the Miss Earth crown.

Miss Earth 2016 Katherine Espin and Miss Earth-Air Michelle Gomez graced the finals night and assisted the crowning of the winner. The two queens also attended several events prior to the finals night, including a school tour to promote environmental awareness among the youth.
