Two new queens were crowned at the conclusion of the Miss Universe Albania 2017 pageant.

Blerta Leka was crowned Miss Universe Albania 2017 at the glittering final gala held last June 29, 2017. Blerta Leka is 18 years old and is from Tirana, Albania’s capital city. With her victory, she won the right to compete at the prestigious Miss Universe 2017 finals in a yet to be announced date and venue.

Placing second is Ioanna Grabolli. She was bestowed with the title of Miss World Albania 2017. She will compete at the Miss World 2017 finals in China.

Since its inception in 2002, the Miss Universe Albania pageant has sent some of the most stunning women to Miss Universe. Three Albanian contestant were able to penetrate the semifinals of Miss Universe — Anisa Kospiri (2002), Hasna Xhukiçi (2009), and Angela Martini (2010). In 2016, Lindita Idrizi was adjudged Miss Photogenic Universe in the pageant held in the Philippines.

On the other hand, no Albanian has ever placed in the Miss World pageant.
