IF Box Office: In the fight of attaining the top box office position in the US, it looks like Ryan Reynolds starrer has topped the US box office chart.

The 2nd spot has been secured by Owen Teague starrer Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.

IF Box Office Secures Top Spot On the Domestic Chart With An Impressive $35 Million Opening Weekend!

Not every movie performs well at the box office but the story is different with Ryan Reynolds starrer IF that was released on May 17, 2024. The film was directed by none other than John Krasinski.

Ever since the film was released, it straightaway topped the chart at the box office. It can be said that IF box office prediction didn’t disappoint the makers. Apart from the above, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes ensured to secure the second spot at the US box office after IF.

Although, the John Krasinski film’s collection disappointed earlier, but it managed to maintain its pace due to strong word of mouth in the end. After the film was called a hit, Ryan has been in the spotlight as the audience is still waiting for his MCU flick titled Deadpool & Wolverine.

Ryan can be seen playing the role of Cal, who’s the neighbor of Bea. He can always check all other imaginary friends of him. On Rotten Tomatoes, IF has already attained 49% rating from the critics and the rating from the audience happens to be 87%.

Taking into consideration of the report submitted by trade analyst Luiz Fernando, it reveals that IF has managed to collect up to $35 million on its opening weekend in the US.

The film has even managed to surpass Free Guy’s 3-day opening weekend by collecting a whopping $28.6 million. The film hit the screens in the year 2021 and had starred Ryan Reynolds in the lead role.

The box office report also suggests that IF has even managed to attain 5th debut for original PG live-action. The film is said to remain just behind Me’s $36.4 million, and Runaway Bride’s $35.1 million.

Now, coming back to IF box office collection, the film garnered up to $13.6 million on Saturday (as per the report published on Deadline). As per the industry projection, the collection stood in the $30 million range only.

Directed by John Krasinski, the box office collection of Ryan Reynolds starrer has been up to $55 million worldwide. Out of the above, around $20 million has come from overseas alone. The film was originally released on May 17, 2024.
