Microsoft has announced that Xbox Game Pass is now officially supporter for Windows PCs with the introduction of Xbox Game Pass for PC.
While you had been able to download and play the Play Anywhere titles available on Xbox Game Pass on your Windows 10 PC, the service was never officially supported on the platform. But with Microsoft’s new approach to PC gaming, that has changed.

During the beta phase, the service will run you $5 a month, and when it leaves beta, the price will bump up to $10 a month. Microsoft has said that there will be over 100 games available for the service in August, and it currently has around 60 games available. There are some big names on the list, including Metro: Last Light, which was previously an Epic Games Store exclusive on PC. Imperator: Rome is another big name on the list, which is the most recent Paradox grand strategy game that released earlier this year.
In addition to Game Pass on PC, there is a new Xbox app that you can use to browse games available on Game Pass, and install games. It’s nice to have this removed from the Windows Store, as the Xbox app will only be dedicated to games.
As a PC gamer, it’s exciting to have this service available. I’ve been a long time Game Pass subscriber only for a handful of Microsoft games, so it’s nice to have an expanded library, and I’m excited to see what else gets announced! Check out the list below for all available games.
