COVID 19 Interview with Erin Bradley, Make-Up and Hair Stylist, Artist, Community Builder

During COVID 19, businesses and services are closed. I know Erin Bradley through her Make-Up, Hair Styling, organizing of fashion shoots and for all of her work as one of the sponsors and team leads for Victoria Fashion Splash, from the preplanning to the gorgeous fashion shoot. And then, for the show itself, where the models had such glow and presented so many hair and beauty styles.

Whenever you see Erin, you see such a beautiful example of a Hair and Make-Up Specialist. She is someone who can bring a variety of thinkers to a singular and well executed vision for how a show can be united through one theme and make a true SPLASH!

Since I see Erin on social media, through her Make-Up Tip Videos and through her Painting demos, I asked her to share her thoughts about COVID 19 and especially moving through this time of social isolation.

Interview with Erin Bradley

1) Please tell us about your business, work, length of time, audience, goals

"I have been working in the Beauty Industry for over 18 years as a freelance make-up and Hair Stylist and wardrobe consultant.Whether it is understanding how a bride envisions her make-up on her wedding day or helping a client understand how clothes and style fit into their lives, my main goal is to always build confidence and educate, every chance I get."

2) How did you work with people before COVID 19?

"As a Makeup and hair stylist I am always being invited into a client's personal bubble."

3) How has social isolation affected your business and you and the people you work with?

"As you can imagine, social isolation and the cancelling of all events and gatherings has completely stopped my business. You definitely can't social distance in my profession, so it will be a new world going forward when the restrictions loosen up."

4)What are some new strategies to reach your audience during this time?

"Since I can no longer visit clients in person, I have been directing my creative energy into education and creating content virtually. I started offering Virtual Makeup Lessons, as well as creating a YouTube Channel and have been posting weekly makeup tutorials and time-lapse paintings."

5)Do you have a motto, mantra, song picture, book, role model, mentor that leads you on?

"The world as we know it has changed a lot in a very short time. Since there is so much we can't control right now, I've decided to focus on the things I can. Music as always been a calming outlet that can change my mood instantly. James Bay is one of those artists that can soothe my soul, with only a few notes. If I need to dance around and get some energy out, then I love turning on some old school Motown or R and B.
