Selena Gomez Has Life-Saving Kidney Transplant, Friend Acted As Donor
As per a report from Billboard, Gomez revealed that she'd undergone a kidney transplant that literally saved her life, and that she's been recovering for the last little while. She shared a touching picture on her Instagram page, showing her and another woman hand-in-hand while lying in separate hospital beds. It turns out that the other person in the picture is a friend who acted as the donor she needed to complete the procedure. In the caption to the post, Selena wrote:
"I’m very aware some of my fans had noticed I was laying low for part of the summer and questioning why I wasn’t promoting my new music, which I was extremely proud of. So I found out I needed to get a kidney transplant due to my Lupus and was recovering. It was what I needed to do for my overall health. I honestly look forward to sharing with you, soon my journey through these past several months as I have always wanted to do with you."
Despite the health setback, it looks like the singer has had no complications since the surgery and will make a full recovery. She has slowly returned to making public appearances over the past few days.For more Hollywood gossip and news please click here
