Luxury villa rentals in Italy

As promised, after the Holiday house rentals in Europe here's the follow up this time with the top Italian villas. A beautiful set of amazing places if you ask me ;)

Not everyone has the money to stay in a luxury villa in Italy, but it can certainly be fun to dream. This is why we've put together a list of some of the ritziest places to rent while on holiday.

Villa Le Scale - Located on the island of Capri starts at around €19,600 weekly during non-peak seasons up to €26,425 during peak holiday travel season. This place once housed the aristocracy. It's still full of antique art, including statues and lots of paintings that are really old. While pricey, it has a lot to offer. Even if you just stay here for a week, you're going to fall in love with this villa.

Torre de lo Grado, Amalfi Coast - For something a little more affordable (at £575 per night on average), you'll want to check out Torre de lo Grado on Amalfi Coast. Located a couple hundred steps from the square in Praiano, this villa was actually built as a watchtower originally. Today it offers a private getaway that's luxurious but still within reach of a lot of different budgets.

La Civetta, Tuscany - Available for around £4,500 a week this villa is a bit expensive, but it's worth every pence. The seaside resort Forte dei Marmi is nearby as well as other villages to visit. While the exterior of this villa is landscaped perfectly, the inside was completely remodeled in 2003. Decorators included the work of local craftsmen which means you're going to find some really well built and beautiful furniture inside.
Castello Gubbio, Umbria - This castle was originally built in the Middle Ages. Today it makes a great holiday rental. The price is around £6,500 a week. The land has been owned by the same people since 1830, and they've taken care to maintain and restore the castle. The 1400 acre estate has beautiful gardens and a pool. The large size of the rental makes it a great place to have a wedding or other large family gathering. Around thirty people can stay in 14 rooms found throughout the castle.

Finding a Reasonably Priced Villa - If you're not ready to spend thousands of Euros or pounds per week in order to stay in one of the villas listed above, you can still find a holiday rental in Italy that will fit your wants and needs. If you search around online there's a very good chance you'll find something no matter your budget. Even if you get something "normal" and not luxurious, you're going to be able to enjoy your holiday in Italy.

Again a big thanks to Sara Xiang who frequently visit http://www.bestpricespaid.co.uk in order to see what's available around the world when it comes to holiday rentals. She travels as much as she's able, but she wishes she could travel even more frequently. She also convert her trav to write about her travels and what she's learned over the years. She has huge stuff of quality infographics that explain her travels.
