7 Days Cruise Route from City of Split and back

Day 1) Split – Milna ( Brač )

Diocletian’s Palace was built in the 4th century by a Roman emperor named Diocletian as an opulent fortress for himself and security. From Split, your cruise will then take you to the welcoming island of Brač in town Milna. Day 2) Milna ( Brač ) – Komiža, Biševo, Vis ( Vis )

From Milna, your cruise continues onward to visit the Croatian isles of Vis and Bisevo.

Komiza is a port town on the Croatian isle of Vis. A village town with a bustling fishing industry, you can also appreciate 17th and 18th century stone house architecture along the coastline. Eat mouth watering, fresh seafood and lobster, caught and prepared this quaint town that specializes in such, in restaurants overlooking the coastline. Enjoy the social scene of this small town in a small open-air beachside club. Participate in festivals and events celebrating the almost 9 centuries of history related to the island.

From Komiza you can also visit the tiny isle of Bisevo. Bisevo is home to almost a dozen underwater caves that are perfect for scuba, swimming and diving activities. The most famous of these caves is the Blue Grotto or the Blue Cave of Bisevo. At certain times of the day, sunlight enters the cave at the just the right angle so as to reflect off of the limestone under the cave. This process emits an otherworldly blue light in and off the water that is a breathtaking sight to behold.

Day 3) Komiža ( Vis ) – Palmižana ( Hvar )

Your Croatian cruise odyssey continues from Komiza to the island of Palmizana.

Palmizana is basically an uninhabited island that was slowly and successfully transformed into an eco-tourism and vacation destination by the Meneghello family, which has owned and operated this small island for well over 100 years.

The Meneghello family owns and operates the island and it is solely populated by visitors and tourists. This island visit will literally be a unique experience for you.

Visit the singly unique botanical garden/open air museum of the island, which was populated by plants imported to the island from all over the world. The beach bars and restaurants all offer sumptuous cuisine and lively times. Along with kayaking, scuba-diving and swimming, you can also see famous sunken shipwrecks around the island.

Day 4) Palmižana ( Hvar ) – Polače, Pomena ( Mljet )

From Palmizana, we continue your cruise adventure to the small villages Polace, Pomena on the Croatian island of Mljet.

In the summer months, daily, short distance catamaran rides are made available in Polace to accommodate greatly appreciated visitors. You can visit ancient ruins and artifacts connected to the island’s history. Dine and enjoy a drink in the unique taverns, restaurants and bars around the island.

You will also visit the small village of Pomena, another small village with well under 60 inhabitants. This small town, primarily known for its agriculture, fishing and the like, is expanding its expanding its reach with tourism. You can partake in bicycling around and sightseeing, sailing and diving activities. You can walk through pristine pine forests or relax at Malo lake.

Day 5. Jezera ( Mljet ) – Korčula (Korčula)

On you 5th cruise day, you will have time to explore the town of Jezera on the Mljet island before your cruise takes you to the isle of Korcula.

Mljet National park is a modern and professionally staffed park that offers scenic and picturesque hiking trails. There is wildlife, walking trails, accommodation, cafes and restaurants, special park events and a lot more to take in.

Onto Korcula, reputedly the birthplace of Marco polo. A moderately sized and populated city, you will be able take in popular cultural events like the world famous sword dance event and other historical reenactments.

Day 6) Korčula – Vrboska, Jelsa ( Hvar )

Next you visit the towns of Vrboska and Jelsa on the isle of Hvar.

Vrboska is a resort town situation at the cusp of a low lying fjord. Be sure to visit the fishing museum, admire the rich Mediterranean architecture of the dwellings. There is a nudist beach, regular beaches, tennis, golf, eateries and taverns and much to discover.

Make sure you enjoy the fisherman and winemaking festivals held in the resort town of Jelsa, which also offers folk music concerts, scenic mountain sites, restaurants and more.

Bol, Brac island

Day 7) Vrboska ( Hvar ) – Bol ( Brač ) – Split

Onward to the isle of Brac in Bol town before pulling into our starting point Split.

At Bol, you must visit the Golden Cape beach, with its crystal clear water and pebble beach. Visit the Dominican Monastery. Enjoy windsurfing, swimming, water sports of all kinds and restaurants and bars along the bay.
