Our flight back to the Bay Area was not until late in the evening, and we wanted to make the most of our last day here in paradise. After checking out of our hotel in Kihei, it was lunch and drinks at Mama's Fish House near Paia.
A search on Google, or simply opening up your guide book will tell you that this is an award winning restaurant with numerous accolades. The atmosphere was unbeatable - wide windows open up to the coconut palms and sandy beaches. The food was on the pricey side, and in my opinion, perhaps a little bit so. If you come during the daytime, my recommendation is not to get a couple of appetizers ( the Ahi Tuna sashimi is awesome ) and drinks, and sip and sway to the sounds of the waves lapping on the sands.
