I suggest visiting the Idaho Geological Survey website. They have a map you can find old mines on, and then pull up some related information and maps that are available. They have over 8,000 mines and prospects inventoried in Idaho. Our agency has been helping to fund the scanning and organizing of the historic documents. They literally had a shipping container full of donated materials that needed to be indexed and archived.
