20 + years back, the wife and I were on the way home from Sequim , and took the Palo Alto rd, to f.s. 28 rd. to quilcene, was a fun alternate route, been wanting to do again, finally did yesterday, with a little change.
The trip- went hwy 16 , hwy 3 to Hood canal bridge, 104 to Center rd. to Quilcene. Lords Lake rd to F.S. 28 , over Bon Jon pass and at west end of 28 rd. (blacktop), headed east on 2880 to Dungeness Forks 2870 rd. to Taylor cutoff rd. which comes out east of Sequim on hwy 101. went on to Port Angeles, messed around, had dinner, and we were back in Enumclaw about 8 pm. was a fun day trip.
