Mahalo to Darla from North Carolina for sharing this pretty shot for Aloha Friday Photos. She snapped this scene from Mauna Lani Point in the Mauna Lani Resort of Hawaii’s Big Island.

As you might be able to tell, Darla’s photo was taken before sunset. Notice the soft, Golden Glow and how vibrant the colors are on the lawn and bougainvillea. That’s one of the neat phenomenons that happens at sunset. Years ago, we wrote an article discussing this golden glow with the advice to observe your surroundings at sunset. It’s an extra sunset gift that most people miss because they’re often only looking out over the ocean.
