Who doesnt like a Beach holiday when life is being a "beach. But how do you decide where you should spend your precious vacation days on? 25) Trunk Bay, St. John, USVI

Undeniably one of the most photographed beaches in the Caribbean, if not the world, this beach looks straight out of a postcard. It sits in the northwestern corner of the Virgin Islands National Park. Calm, clear water and a 225-yard-long Underwater Trail for superb snorkeling are big draws for the tourists who travel from far corners of the world just to take a stroll here. There are many hiking trails up and into the surrounding greenery which is filled with the ruins of historic sugar cane plantations. If that doesnt sound like an ideal beach vacation to you, then I dont know what does.

Its beach is livened with 70 different colours of sand, which includes a rainbow beach! Isnt that something? Hold on! 23) Lopes Mendes, Ilha Grande, Brazil

Itll be a cardinal sin if we dont mention Brazil in this list, and Lopes Mendes deserves to be on top of every beach-heads list. Youll be welcomed by a two-mile long unspoiled, deserted, pure white sand, which leads to some of thebest  crystal-clear waters in the world. Its so clear that you can see your soul in the reflection (okay maybe thats an exaggeration). But dont be surprised to find no signs of shacks or restaurants. Instead youll find lots of sea shrub and almond tree to give you that complete feeling of isolation. Getting there is an adventure itself. It includes a three-hour drive to Angra dos Reis, followed by a ferry ride, then a taxi-boat ride, and then a short hike through a forest. We know it sounds like lot of work, but its worth every single drop of sweat.

22) Blinky Beach, Lord Howe Island, Australia

Its true that Queensland consists of many beautiful beaches in the continent, but makes no mistake. This incredibly remote and small island which is nearly half-way to Middlearth (New Zealand), firmly holds its own against every Australian beach. Located on the east side of Lord Howe this fantastically beach makes an excellent surfing location. Besides that you will also find requisite white sand and azure waters. What else can anyone ask for, right? It was also the epic shooting location for "The Shallows" starring Blake Lively. Glamourous much?

21) Barnes Bay, Anguilla

This pancake-flat island has lots of pristine beaches, total of 33 to be exact. What makes this stand-out you may ask? Well the Barnes Bay beach has some of the softest sand imaginable. Theres no trace of rocks or shells to be found in the vicinity. So you dont have to worry about practicing your beach marathon here. Another part of its appeal is the chic crowd it attracts. So you do not have to care about empty beer bottles or drunken grandpas. 

20) Temae and Teavora, Moorea, French Polynesia

Whats better than a beach? Two beaches of course! The two beaches have distinctively different characteristics, but blend together to form an impossibly beautiful Moorea. Teavaro has shallow waters, which makes it an excellent spot for snorkeling and other activites. On the north of the Sofitel, Temae has world-famous surfing locations, but is still considered very safe for swimmers. Together these two make for a perfect beach vacation.

Considered to be one of the most popular beaches on the island, a part of Horseshoe holds a secret. The Port Royal Cove has shallow and crystalline water which is perfect for kids. It also consist a dramatic rock formations which complements the wonderful soft pink sand.

This place has a lot of things going for it. Be it the 5-kilometer-long white beach, or a lively party hot-spot every full-moon. But if youre more of a walk-on-a-beach kind of person, this place has got you covered. Get a compass and head straight north to the tip of the beach, fondly named as Yapak. Youll be welcomed by tiny stalls selling many souvenirs and shell jewelry. Theres a row of empty palms where you can relax without any interruptions and do a bit of soul-searching, or just nap.

This beach has a magnificent view of the jungle peaks of Phi Phi Leh Island. Add to that its a brilliant snorkeling spot in Thailand. Its laid back vibe compliments the beauty of the golden sand and deep blue water. The secret Loh Moodee and Ao Poh beaches are just round the corner for this one. But if you do not want to miss that eternal party vibe of Thailand, you can always head to Tonsai village which is situated walking distance. Matira which perhaps is the most famous of Tahitis beach is accessible to public. So no one is going to stop you from taking a stroll on the mile-long stretch of soft, powder-white sand. It is backed by a beautiful thick curtain of palm trees and tropical foliage.

Considered to be the hardest accessible beach in Hawaii to reach the shore you must hike through thick green lushes or take a drive down a narrow steep road. It does sound like lot of effort for a beach vacation, but the reward is well worth it. Youll be welcomed by thick-black volcanic sand which is covered by a treacherous 2000-foot cliff walls. If that doesnt fill your inner travelers appetite the view of Kaluahine and Waiulili waterfalls cutting through the cliffs at the sound side of the beach will mesmerize you. They are accessible via a bouilder-strewn trail along the surf.

Of course the name gives away the highlight of the place, but that isnt the only trick this place has it up its sleeves. It is considered to be one of the best places to big wave surf in the winter (the beach is home to the Vans Triple Crown). But have no worries as the water becomes as calm as a lake in the summer which makes it ideal for family beach vacation and snorkeling. Above all, its really the sunset here that seals the deal for the visitors.

Who doesnt want to visit the beach where King Kong and Indiana Jones were shot? Skull island which is also known as Cathedral Beach, Honopu is quite a task to reach. For starters, its  accessible only by the sea, so to get there you must swim from an offshore boat, or from neighboring Kalalau Beach (a quarter-mile swim). But the trouble is definitely worth it: Think cumin-colored sand bordered by soaring, vegetation-cloaked cliffsand, most times, not a soul in sight.

Known collectively as "The Pearl of the Indian Ocean" Bazaruto is most easily reached by air from Johannesburg to Vilanculos, and then onward by small aircraft or boat.

Located on the Kohala Coast of the Aloha States Big Island, Kaunaoa Bay is the quintessential Hawaiian spot. The 0.25-mile-long (0.4-kilometer-long), crescent-shaped beach has plenty of white sand, palm trees, and calm, clear, blue water. In addition to swimming and sunbathing, beachgoers here can snorkel or ride boogie boards. (Be careful swimming, because there are no lifeguards on this public beach.) At night, nestle into the sands and peer out into the water to see if you can catch a glimpse of manta rays swimming.
