The premise of the play is dismal, but one that is not alien to anyone. The story of the aged parent whose reality enters new avenues after their partner leaves them behind is not new. But, director Jonathan Kent is able to shed fresh light (or darkness) on this by employing his theatrical talent. The story of the family that comes undone after the tragic events will play at the heartstrings of the audience just like death does at a moment of danger. While the play may not exactly be one for a fun Friday night viewing, it surely is tailor-made for people who are serious about theater.
