Travel during the holidays can cause a lot of anxiety and stress. During last year’s long Thanksgiving weekend, AAA reported that almost 42 million Americans hit the road. That’s a whole lot of people to share the highway with.

According to Skyscanner Data, the best time to buy a Christmas flight is during the week of November 21st for Average Savings of 6.41%!

With an even more impressive discount, Skyscanner predicts the week of December 5th to be the best time to buy a New Year’s flight, with average savings of 10.57%!

And it’s not just flights that are going to be cheaper in the next few weeks. Expedia says it’s also a prime time to book all-inclusive package deals and cruises.

So if you haven’t yet decided where you’d like to spend the holidays, I suggest you decide fast.

Okay, so maybe not everyone will get to travel this holiday season … and this all might be really depressing to you.

Gas prices in the U.S. are predicted to fall to an average of $2.01 in December, according to the site GasBuddy.com. Actually, even this month has seen a low average of $2.13. That’s the lowest since March. So while yes, the roads might be crowded this weekend, at least getting around will cost you a bit less.

So this Thursday, make sure your phone or laptop is amply charged and, kindly, find a way to excuse yourself from the dinner table so that you can book your Christmas vacation tickets at all-time low prices.
