Roar Offshore Returns to Fort Myers Beach!

Planning a visit to Fort Myers Beach? Come celebrate the return of Roar Offshore Powerboat Racing this October!

This National Championship Race will see the culmination of the entire OPA race season crown a Champion. Fort Myers Beach is a perfect location for the races because there are so many up-close viewing opportunities, but don’t blink! These boats will be going past you at up to 180 mph! The entire race will be visible anywhere on the beach from the pier to mid-Island.

The party kicks off on Thursday, October 10th with a parade of race boats over Matanzas Pass Bridge and onto Old San Carlos Blvd for a street party. Boats will be on display in the streets with live music, food, and the teams that make it happen.

The race opens Friday, October 11th at 9 am at Salty Sam’s. Race teams and boats will be available for viewing and interaction as well as vendor displays. Teams will be testing on the racecourse Friday so there will be plenty of action on the water as well!

On Saturday, October 12th, there will be three races. You can watch the races at waterfront restaurants, aboard a boat in the spectator anchoring area, in a chair on the beach, or even from your raft floating in the water!
