Verbier Switzerland
Since a couple of year the Swiss resort of Verbier has been under an enormous change. A lot of new residences and hotels have pop up. This year the main new comer is the W hotel on the right side of the ski lift. I am not usually a big fan of W hotel, I visit the one in London open last year and I did not like it at all, but this one which is they first one opening outside a big city is a success regarding the design. However, the price is a bit high, count around 1000 CHF for a room the of 28 m2 (which is really pocket size). So no I will not stay there.
Since the W is build on the former parking, I prefer to stop in the Cable (before 9:00) and take the gondola up.
The off piste in Verbier is excellent, while the slope are not very exiting, but the choice of restaurants make it look like a good destination.
Restaurants on the slope : La Vache, Chez, Dany, Le Carrefour, Kalsberg, Le Dahu, Cabane Montfort.
