Thefts on airplanes are on the rise especially during holiday travel don't let the evil Grinch steal your stuff

CNN just posted that a passenger stole thousands of dollars from three people on his flight from Vietnam to Singapore on a budget airline. He allegedly looted back packs and Carry ons.
Airplanes are expected to be jam packed during this Holiday time so it's a good idea to use some caution when stowing your belongings.
I always put valuables (money, passports etc. in a special bag that I keep close to me at all times in my seat.
Here are some other tips
Don't put valuables in the overhead compartment, Store by your feet until take off then put them on your lap or next to you,
Never leave a bag at your seat when going to the restroom or taking a stroll around the plane. Always carry it with you.
Lock bags if possible
Try to travel with a carry on that has a lock. If you have valuables in a back pack wear it on your chest so you can keep an eye on it at all times. It's easy for a slippery thief to put their hands in and take something out especially when disembarking a crowded flight or in the baggage area.
Stay alert
Always a good idea these days to stay alert to your surroundings and never leave possession unguarded. Also make sure no one is following you or casing you out.
To catch a thief
Tis the season to be jolly but by golly there are some bad folks lurking out there so stay alert and be very cautious. Also if someone tries to steal your possession do not attempt to fight them but do yell 'Police". There are usually plenty of security personnel in airports.
Happy holidays, be savvy and safe travels. Don't let evil grinches steal your Christmas.
