What’s going on in the air? What are they feeding these passengers who are disrupting flights too frequently now. Or it is a matter of pandemic post stress disorders?
Whatever it is another incident happened Friday, June 11 on a Delta Flight from Los Angeles to Atlanta. And this was allegedly caused by an off –duty Delta flight attendant who was heard saying he wanted to crash the plane.
According to Internet news sores the pilot was obviously distraught and asked passengers to help contain the disorderly Delta employee.
.
The suspect, identified as 34-year-old Stephon Jamar Duncan, also attacked two flight attendants before another passenger -- an off-duty pilot -- and the flight crew and passengers were able to subdue him.
The pilot veered course to Oklahoma for an emergency landing. Once the ‘terrorist’ was taken off the plane, the flight continued onto Atlanta. Nobody was hurt, but it must have been pretty scary.
This marks the third such event on a Delta flight out of LAX in the past two weeks.
Last week, a flight from L.A. to Detroit was diverted when a passenger became a threat and before that a passenger on a Delta flight from L.A. was arrested after he allegedly attempted to break into the plane's cockpit mid-flight.
Delta released a statement after Friday’s incident that reads, “Thanks to the crew and passengers of Delta Flight 1730 (LAX to ATL) who assisted in detaining an unruly passenger as the flight diverted to Oklahoma City (OKC). The aircraft landed without incident and the passenger was removed by law enforcement. We apologize to our customers for the delay and any additional inconvenience this caused.”
