Into the World of Jewelry

Hello everyone! How often do you try to do something you are afraid of? How often do you dare to dream?
I want to believe I have always been a Creative person – it all comes from my childhood: my mom used to teach me to see beauty in everything, and develop my imagination. I have always been involved in all kinds of creative classes: I played the piano since I was 6 years old, I danced, cooked, learned how to do this and that – I had a busy childhood hahaha. That being said, as an adult, I felt like I was missing something, I wasn’t able to express my creative side as much as I would like to. That’s how Jewelry came into my life.
I took a semester in college just to see if I liked it if that’s for me. I thought even if I wouldn’t do more than one semester, I would still be able to overcome the Fear of fire. Long story short, here I was – with my weak hands and a fear of fire. I tried to make a pair of earrings….. and I got hooked. My small workshop became my happy place: I was able to slowly overcome my fear of fire, my hands were getting stronger, and I was able to develop skills, be more patient, take risks and actually believe in myself. You learn not to give up every time something goes wrong, you learn to imagine, create and inspire. You take risks every time you make a piece of jewelry as you don’t know what is going to happen at the end. You also learn to accept yourself the way you are and look for “good” and “great” rather than “perfect” or “flawless”. You are a human, you create – you are not a machine. I don’t know where this journey will take me, but I can tell you one thing – I take time to make every piece, I add love, care, and personal touch to make sure it’ll bring you a great adventure!

XX,
Gena.
