The state government of Tripura has issued various travel guidelines keeping in the mind the current pandemic situation which are as follows:

  • Domestic travel has resumed in Tripura and all domestic flights are operational.
  • All passengers are advised to download the Arogya Setu app on their mobile devices.
  • All passengers shall undergo thermal screening
  • At airports/railway stations/ bus terminals required measures to ensure social distancing shall be taken.
  • Asymptomatic passengers will be permitted to go with the advice that they shall self-monitor
    their health for 14 days. In case, they develop any symptoms, they shall inform the district
    surveillance officer or the state/national call center (1075).
  • After thermal screening, symptomatic travelers will be isolated and taken to the nearest health facility.
  • All travellers should submit self-declaration form on the online portal at least 72 hours before the scheduled travel or physically after arrival at the respective health counters.
  • Travelers may also seek exemption from institutional quarantine by submitting a negative RT-PCR test report. This test should have been conducted within 72 hrs prior to undertaking the journey.
  • International passengers arriving without an RT-PCR negative certificate and wishing to seek exemption from institutional quarantine may also avail the facility available at the airports to undergo RT-PCR testing (where such provisions exist).

The best time to visit Tripura is in winters as the temperature is pleasant and ideal for sightseeing and witnessing the natural wonders of the state.

Domestic travel is operational in the state and you can board a flight to Tripura from any major state in the country including Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata and Guwahati. All the airlines are taking covid-19 safety precautions to ensure the well-being of the travelers.
