"Gerry and Andrea’s spacious bungalow was ideally situated for visiting the numerous vineyards in the Hunter valley region. It was also quite close to the coastal city of Newcastle and within reasonable driving distance of Sydney.

For anyone who likes wild life (as in animals) the birdlife is abundant and stunning, kangaroos are numerous and, if you're lucky, you may see koalas and wombats. We even had monitor lizards in the garden, one about eighteen inches regularly came to drink out of the water feature in the front garden. Fortunately, the screened doors kept them and the creepy crawlies out of the bungalow.

We found the information folder provided by Gerry and Andrea to be comprehensive and very useful. The bungalow had absolutely everything we could ever want, including air conditioning and an excellently equipped kitchen. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom equipped with a large bath and great shower. The bungalow was situated within easy walking distance of Singleton Centre where numerous shops, banks, supermarkets, restaurants and coffee bars could be found. We found Singleton to be a very clean, well laid out town, and the customer service from virtually everywhere we visited was outstanding (as it was everywhere, we visited from Brisbane to Sydney).

We absolutely loved every minute of our six week home swap in Australia, the only downside being that we had to return to the cold damp winter weather of the UK.

We'd been in contact with Gerry and Andrea for some months before our trip and knew on meeting them to handover of our cottage and car, that we were leaving them in safe hands with people who respected and treated ours as they would their own. Thank you Andrea and Gerry for initiating this swap which enabled us to have a holiday of a lifetime."
