Last month I was invited to the new show at Atelier des Lumieres, Cezanne, the Lights of Provence and Kandinsky, The Odyssey of Abstraction. Today I am writing about Cezanne, which is the longer of the two shows, running approximately 30 minutes.
The exhibition traces Cezanne’s work during the time he spent in Aix en Provence and during the dazzling show, images of his most iconic paintings are splashed on the walls, ceilings, and floor. It also touches upon Cezanne’s versatility with landscapes of forests, gardens, and parks, along with portraits of local townspeople and workers, and of course, his composed, still life paintings of fruit.
On Wednesday, I will write about Kandinsky, The Odyssey of Abstraction.
