Jean Paul Gaultier Cinemode

Fashion designer extraordinaire Jean Paul Gaultier is also a huge cinema buff and La Cinémathèque Francaise has invited him to curate an exhibition of iconic costumes and fashions from the movies. Costumes designed for Marilyn Monroe, the little black dress of Audrey Hepburn, the masculine wardrobe of Marlene Dietrich, the bespoke tuxedo of James Bond, and the leotard of Superman are just some of the fashions on exhibit. The Cinémathèque is also screening some of Gaultier’s favorite films.
