My friend Michael House is a terrific filmmaker and musician. He made an excellent video of my Eye Prefer Paris Tour in 2013 and I still use it today to promote my tours. Michael even created a fun soundtrack for the video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CdlYXR98aCo&t=32
Michael has also made a series of documentaries on subjects such as the French filmmaker Jacques Tati, the British author Somerset Maugham, and Shakespeare with actor Simon Callow.
One of his best films is Eugène and Berenice - Pioneers of Urban Photography, an absorbing and fascinating account of the deep friendship between the Eugène Atget, the iconic early French photographer and Berenice Abbott, the pioneering female photographer. Atget photographed his beloved Paris and Abbott, richly captured New York City between the late 1800s and early 1900s. Abbott was responsible for continuing Atget’s legacy and without her, we wouldn’t have the rich catalog of Atget’s work today.
Michael has offered a giveaway rental of Eugène and Berenice - Pioneers of Urban Photography on Amazon. Be the third person to make a comment, and Michael will gift you the video rental.
