What is Anzac Day

Anzac Day is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand, commemorating the men and women who served and died in war, conflict and peace-keeping roles in the armed forces across the world.

Anzac stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps and refers to the combined forces from New Zealand and Australia who landed at Gallipoli during the First World War. You can find out more about the history of Anzac Day here.
