Kopřivná – czech bike park with varied trails

Bike Park Kopřivná is a spot located near the border with Poland, where there are 5 trails of varying difficulty and character. Well worth a visit if you like a varied ride.

One blue flow trail, two red ones (one for jumping and the other with a more natural character) and two natural black lines – that’s what Koprivna has to offer. The trails are 1.5 – 2.5 km long. So they are not very long, but they are quite interesting, especially the red lines, on which, apart from tabletops, stones and roots, there are some interesting features.

Interesting features are also on the bottom. All trails end together, with a smaller or larger drop to choose from. You can slide off the smaller one or practice jumping by landing on the footbridge, and I haven’t dared to jump from the larger one yet, because there is no footbridge ;) I didn’t dare jump on the bag either, although it’s tempting … for now I’m afraid that I won’t make it, but I really like that there is something like that and I plan to use it as soon as I learn to jump a little better.

The bike park is quite popular, but the lift takes 3 bikes per chair and the queue goes down quite quickly. Such as in the picture is about 10 minutes of waiting. I also did not feel crowded on the trails.

In July and August, the bike park is open daily, and in the remaining months in the summer season from Friday to Sunday. It is a pity that not longer, because only until 5 – 6 pm. The cost of a one-day pass is approx. EUR 30.

Koprivna – Fun Trail (blue)

A beginner’s trail, smoothed, so also great for a hardtail bike. Everyone should be able to ride it and at higher speed you can catch a nice flow and jump on many small tabletops.

Koprivna – Spicy Freeride trail (red)

My favorite line, although I can’t jump over such big tabletops yet. Some are 5-6 meters in my eye! There are also single several-meter jumps with holes, which of course I bypass. In addition, there are two drops on the route – visible in the main photo of this article. The smaller one with a footbridge, not so small at all, and the other huge one. Behind them another interesting obstacle – the wallride.

The disadvantage of the Spicy Freeride line is only the washboard that form in some places, especially on steep berms. A year ago I was in this bike park in mid-June, on a hardtail and these parts were a massacre for me. This year I was in May, a week after the opening, and even then the washboards appeared in places. In this respect, the bike park in Dolni Morava is much better, and it is also great for jumping.

Koprivna – Gravity Line (red)

A trail full of roots, but not only. Along the way, there are some interesting features for the less and more advanced, such as a wooden jump with a hole, wooden footbridges, including one in the shape of a snail, a narrow footbridge low above the ground and a rock ride with three downhill variants.

Koprivna – Downhill trails (black)

There are two black trails in the bike park, not very creatively named Downhill 1 and Downhill 2. I only rode the Downhill 2 line, which is the one that starts on the right side of the lift, looking from above. I went down without any fall and without walking with the bike, which means it’s not that difficult. The one on the left is supposedly more difficult. Both have a natural character and there are two large jumps at Downhill 2.
