Jingle Through the Crescent City


From the French Quarter and Jackson Square to Audubon Park and the Roosevelt Hotel, the city lights up with dazzling holiday light displays over the winter months. A narrated motor coach tour takes riders through the Crescent City’s famous neighborhoods, past historic architecture decorated for both the holidays and the Tricentennial. The tour wraps up with a walk through the Roosevelt Hotel, where visitors will gaze in awe at the meticulous holiday decorations.

Experience History and Culture at Local Museums

New Orleans is home to dozens of museums, including one of the best in the world! The National WWII Museum won the number two spot on TripAdvisor’s 2017 Travelers’ Choice Awards for best museum in the country and world. It also ranked as the top attraction in New Orleans. These seven-foot tall statues can be found at Washington Artillery Park, Woldenberg Park’s Audubon Plaza, and City Park’s Big Lake. They’re especially dazzling lit up at night!

Celebrate the Holidays at Audubon Zoo’s Light Display

At the end of the year, the Audubon Nature Institute will bring a new family-friendly holiday attraction to the Big Easy. The Audubon Zoo Lights will feature lighted displays and life-size replicas of the zoo’s most popular inhabitants, including elephants and peacocks. The animal habitats won’t be open to visitors during this evening exhibit, but performances, interactive displays, and other activities will fill the Audubon Zoo. Running from November 23 through December 30, it’s the perfect way to wrap up an end-of-year visit to the city.
