Playa Grande:

Playa Chica:

 The beach has pool-like calm waters on both of the sides due to the Volcanic outcrops that took place. Playa Pila de la Barilla is commonly known as Playa Chica and is a small beach. It is situated between the Playa Grande and the old harbour as is the ideal beach for a long swim. It’s small and packed with tourists all along summers and is popular for fun water sports as well. This golden sand beach with its beautiful serene water is one of the best things to do in Puerto Del Carmen.

Rancho Texas Lanzarote Park:

A trip to this park works great if you are visiting with family or friends. This park is a combination of both an animal park and a water park. All you need to do is get yourself a ticket and you will have access to both the parks and the shows that take place. You can indulge in spending time with the animals and the birds and later hit the pools and slides when the day gets hot. Cueva de Los Verdes:

Visit the worlds longest lava-tube which also happens to be a byproduct of the volcanic formation. This 6-kilometre long tube was a result of the outburst of La Corona volcano around 5,000 years ago. This long tunnel came alive due to the Fluid lava that sunk and cooled down which lead to the rock solidifying towards the sea. These caves were a spot for refuges who were taking shelter when Barbary corsairs ordered raids. Caves are always interesting, isn’t it? Put this on top of your list of things to do in Puerto Del Carmen as it will be worthwhile

Day trip to Lanzarote’s capital:

Arrecife is the capital city of Lanzarote, and is just a few minutes away from Puerto Del Carmen-you can take a bus or a private car to this capital. If you decide to take a day trip to this beautiful city, then ensure to visit the area of Charoa san Gines and take a stroll to Castillo san Gabriel.

Nightlife:

This coastal city if the hub of happening nightlife, there are plenty of nightclubs, discos, karaoke bars and of course a wide variety of restaurants. The main hotspot that is home to a lot of these fun spots in the- The Strip that is located next to Avenida de las Playas. Apart from this, the old town of Puerto Del Carmen also has its own share of nightlife that is worth it! Nothing like experiencing nightlife is the island of Spain. 

Timanfaya National Park:

People generally take a bus tour through the volcanoes here. Located approximately 28kms for the city of Puerto Del Carmen, this National Park is a volcanic park in Lanzarote that gives you an opportunity to witness the fire mountains – Montañas de Fuego. This zone was found in 1730 when Timanfaya erupted out of the blue. Even though the entire landscape in this park looks like a post-apocalyptic wasteland it is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve which is a sight to sore eyes.
