The Tivoli garden was constructed in a way that turned out to be the inspiration for the Disney theme parks. The amusement park and pleasure gardens were built during the year 1843. Get on the thrilling roller coaster and roundabouts, and explore the halls of mirrors, pantomime, puppet and open-air theatres. #2 Christiansborg Palace

The Christiansborg Palace is located on the tiny island of Slotsholmen which tops the list of spectacular attractions in Copenhagen. This stunning palace boasts more than 800 years of history. Christiansborg now serves as the Parliament, the Prime Minister’s Office and the Supreme court. Some parts of the palace are still used by the Royal house and many portions are open to the public as well. This place was once occupied by the fortifications built by Bishop Absalon during the year 1167. This was found when the locals spotted the ruins of the bishop’s castle when the present fort was constructed.

#3 National Museum of Denmark

Get ready to witness some amazing runic stones and the Danish history collection which includes a 2000-year old sun chariot, Romanesque and Gothic church fittings, Danish porcelain, silver antiques and coins. #4 The National Gallery of Denmark

#6 The Round Tower (Rundetårn)

On Købmagergade, you will spot a 36-meter-high structure that was built as an observatory in 1642. This famous place is the Round Tower that houses a small collection connected with the famous Danish astronomer Tycho Brahe. Walk across the wide spiral ramp to reach the tower and enjoy the stunning panoramic views from the top of the tower. Do not miss visiting the new attraction where you can peer down into the castle’s core from a glass floor hovering 25 meters above the ground. #9 Rosenborg Palace

The castle was initially built as a place for pleasure by the Royal family. Later in the 18th century, it was remodelled into a museum. You can witness the sparkling Danish crown jewels and royal regalia here. Stroll around the Marble Room, a Baroque reception room, the Knights’ Hall and the famous Rosenborg Tapestries, which have adorned the walls of the palace for years.
